Health Guarantee

This document is intended to protect breeders, purchasers and puppies. To the best of the breeder’s knowledge, the puppies were in good health at the time of sale. Puppies receive age-appropriate vaccinations, deworming and general health care. Purchasers are required and strongly encouraged to have their puppies examined by a state-licensed veterinarian within 714 days of purchase.
The breeder ensures that all arrangements are made with the parents to ensure that the puppies are healthy and lead normal healthy lives. This warranty is valid until the puppy is 1 year old. If a puppy is unable to lead a normal life due to a “verifiable” pre-existing genetic disease with a life-threatening illness, the puppy will be replaced with a comparable puppy of the same sex at the earliest opportunity.

All shipping costs are the responsibility of the purchaser. All genetic health issues must be confirmed by a licensed veterinarian and supported by test results from a licensed laboratory. Breeders reserve the right to request a second opinion and additional inspection. Needless to say, the breeder is not responsible for any medical expenses after the puppy is handed over to its new owner. Any genetic health issues must be reported to the breeder immediately by phone or in writing within 14 days.

This warranty does not apply to communicable diseases, umbilical hernias, delayed testicles, or intestinal worms (which are rare but can occur) more than one year after purchase. Also, there are no problems with neglect or improper feeding. Feed your puppy a high quality puppy food.
If a dispute arises regarding this health guarantee and cannot be resolved by the breeder/buyer, all legal proceedings initiated by the purchaser must be brought in Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Nothing is implied that is not included in this warranty. The warranty is printed on the website and it is your responsibility to familiarize yourself with its contents. Payment of the deposit constitutes acceptance of the terms and conditions set forth herein. When you bring your puppy home, you are assured that your puppy is healthy. Dewormed at 2 weeks of age and every 2 weeks thereafter. He was vaccinated, examined by a licensed veterinarian, and was in good health.

A veterinarian should examine your puppy within two weeks of the date of purchase. If your veterinarian believes your puppy is in poor health and has a life-threatening disease, ask them to write you a letter explaining the problem. Have a veterinarian check the condition. If the condition is confirmed, we will either return the puppy for a full refund or provide a replacement puppy.
Puppies will be replaced free of charge if the puppy dies due to a birth defect within the first 6 months of life. Determining the cause of death requires an autopsy and a letter from a veterinarian stating that the cause of death was congenital. This warranty is void if the puppy is bred in the first year.

As a responsible breeder, we are committed to raising healthy, happy puppies. Sometimes things go wrong and unexpected veterinary claims can occur. As a pet owner, you should understand that you are responsible for all veterinary costs incurred when your puppy leaves home.
